James Bowman (born May 14, 1981) is best known as the guitarist/ backing vocalist for punk band Against Me!. As a long- time friend of Laura Jane Grace (they met on their first day of high school and were "close ever since") Bowman joined the band in 2000 after Laura convinced him to move to Florida and taught him early Against Me! songs on guitar. In 2001, a van accident on I-75 left the band's van and equipment destroyed, although everyone walked away safely. Bowman left the band at this time and returned during the recording of Reinventing Axl Rose. He has remained a constant member in Against Me! since then, despite the various lineup/ other changes in the band over the years. Discography * ''Against Me!
